Although introduced more than a decade ago, the current generation of the full-size LX is still a highly competitive machine, mostly thanks to impressive off-road capabilities and unparalleled reliability ratings. However, the SUV started to show its age, so it’s not hard to notice that some of the aesthetics look a little bit outdated. Therefore, the next generation of this model is one of the most anticipated vehicles in the brand’s lineup. According to the latest reports, the new model will come already in the next year, maybe already as the 2021 Lexus LX600.
It will come with loads of interesting novelties, with improvements in all aspects, including performances and fuel economy. Count on a completely new design, which involves new architecture, new interior design and a new, hybrid powertrain.
2021 Lexus LX600 Redesign
Several sources claim that the next generation of this luxury SUV will hit the market in the next year. Moreover, the Japanese automobile magazine called Mag-X came up with some drawings that show how the new model could look like. At this point, we won’t speculate about aesthetics, but rather about technical details, as they seem much easier to predict.
Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the platform. As you probably know, Toyota is currently working on a new architecture, codenamed F1. It will debut in the next-generation Tundra, but it will be highly modular, with capabilities to underprint every body-on-frame vehicle in Toyota’s lineup. At this point, we know that the new model will be lighter, but we also count on a little bit bigger overall size, which would provide more space on the inside. The current model measures around 112.2 inches in wheelbase, which doesn’t seem long enough to provide enough space on the inside.
Interior
As we’ve just mentioned, the new model is expected to feature a little bit longer wheelbase, which would provide more space on the inside. The current model comes standard with two rows, while the third is options. While the first row is very generous in terms of space, the second and third rows would definitely use a little bit more legroom. This is probably the biggest issue of the current model. The overall cargo volume seems good in the current model, though a little bit more space behind the third row would be nice.
When it comes to the overall interior quality, we have no doubt that the 2021 Lexus LX600 will be amazing. Even the current model features hi-end materials and an impressive level of craftsmanship, despite it seems a little bit outdated from the aesthetical standpoint. 2021 Lexus LX600 Powertrain

If we can rely on the latest reports, the 2021 Lexus LX600 should hit the market in the next year. When it comes to the price, it’s hard to talk about anything more precise. Still, we don’t expect some significant increase compared to the current model, which starts at around 86.500 dollars.
