Self-closing doors, LED roof, power sunshades, various additional audio (12-, 16-, and 20-speaker systems by Harman Kardon and B&W)… all available for extra money. A second-row infotainment upgrade adds big screens and DVD player. The head-up display we could expect as a standard feature, but 2020 BMW X7 will offer it as optional.
2020 BMW X7 Specs Are Stunning
There are two drivetrains available for buyers in the US. There are tow more diesel units in other markets where this 7-seat SUV is going to appear. The specs sheet of the entire 2020 BMW X7 lineup is breathtaking. The base setup combines a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The xDrive40i configuration crunches out 335 hp. That is 145 ponies less than the xDrive50i setup with a V8 engine. A 4.4-liter unit uses a twin-turbo system to maximize the output.
Diesel engines are getting a turbo and quad-turbo treatment. The other one is known as X7M, while the regular diesel model bursts 260 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
2020 BMW X7M Jaw-Dropping Specs
European buyers can already buy the X7M model with a diesel engine. This vehicle is using a 3.0-liter quad-turbo drivetrain and produces 400 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque. It is still unbelievable. But the speed of development is stunning and these rumors are not surprising us. Even if such an engine appears, it will be a kind of mild-hybrid model.
The Price is Better than For Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedes GLS, Lexus LX…
The MSRP of the 2020 BMW X7 remains at the same level as for its predecessors. That means the configuration with a V6 engine will cost $74,000. The increase in power makes the price jump. A V8 model is going to get the MSRP tag of $93,000. The M treatment is not cheap though. The X7M will be at the same level as the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLS – above $120,000.
